You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager on the edge of our network, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our users traffic gets to and from the Internet in APAC. The team focuses on peering and GGC (Google Global Cache) planning and delivery work as well as multiple projects and automation initiatives. In this role, you will be working with peers/ISPs within Asia and beyond to ensure effective peering and GGC (Google Global Cache) planning as well as delivery.

Qualifications
Job responsibilities
  • Manage multiple simultaneous large scale network projects with engaging priorities while ensuring timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of edge capacity delivery projects to support peering growth and performance requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks specific to edge capacity delivery, such as hardware delays, site access issues, power constraints, and potential disruptions during upgrades.
  • Manage and drive the execution of peering projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize peering costs while maintaining or improving network performance.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in an IP network planning or an implementation role at an Internet Service Provider (ISP), Telecom Operator, Carrier, or Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Understanding of networking concepts, particularly related to peering and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
  • Ability to have a technical aptitude.
