Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Singapore seeks a Technical Officer to oversee electrical maintenance and guide technicians. Responsibilities

Job description
Technical Officer (Electrical / Facilities)

Work closely with the engineering and facilities management team to ensure smooth execution of electrical and related maintenance tasks.

Supervise and guide a team of technicians to deliver effective maintenance and troubleshooting services.

Carry out preventive maintenance for various systems, including solar panels, ELV systems (such as CCTV and card readers), intercoms, lighting, electrical distribution boards, generator sets, and building management systems.

Review and interpret technical drawings submitted by tenants, identifying any compliance issues.

Assist in managing electrical upgrade projects and addition & alteration works.

Support annual power shutdowns and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis for system faults and breakdowns.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and follow up on outstanding issues.

Coordinate with building owners, users, vendors, and contractors to ensure engineering solutions meet requirements.

Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with workplace safety and health regulations.

Liaise with contractors for rectification and ad-hoc works, including obtaining quotations and preparing proposals.

Prepare technical reports and recommendations for system breakdowns and preventive maintenance improvements.

Collaborate with the building’s Licensed Electrical Worker to ensure compliance and operational standards.

What are we looking for?

At least 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in electrical systems maintenance.

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Demonstrated experience managing complex and critical infrastructure.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate technical teams.

Effective written communication skills for client engagement and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
