Overview
Job Summary: As a CBRE Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all technical aspects of facilities operations, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective building services. This role provides technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire/life safety systems, and building infrastructure, while managing vendors, budgets, and service delivery standards.
Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Management
- Oversee daily technical operations across multiple facilities or sites, ensuring uninterrupted building services.
- Manage MEP systems including HVAC, electrical systems, UPS, generators, BMS, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs to maximize asset lifecycle and reduce downtime.
- Review and approve technical plans, method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
- Investigate technical incidents, equipment failures, and system inefficiencies; implement corrective actions and root cause analysis.
Compliance, Safety & Risk
- Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, codes, and standards (e.g., fire safety, electrical safety, environmental regulations).
- Support audits, inspections, and certifications by authorities and clients.
- Drive HSE best practices, ensuring safe systems of work and contractor compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, compliance records, and asset registers.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice, reports, and recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in client meetings and site walkthroughs / visits.
- Support mobilization, handover, and demobilization of sites from a technical standpoint.
Financial & Asset Management
- Support preparation and management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Identify cost optimization and energy efficiency opportunities.
- Monitor asset performance and recommend upgrades, replacements, or lifecycle strategies.
- Support energy management and sustainability initiatives where applicable.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop technical teams and site engineers.
- Promote continuous improvement, standardization, and best practice sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or equivalent).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE)) are advantageous.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in facilities management, building services, or engineering operations
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and building operations.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge of statutory compliance and safety standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
