Technical Delivery Manager
Job Objective

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical delivery of business solutions and new system capabilities. The role ensures that all technical deliverables are completed on schedule, meet required quality standards, and adhere to architectural, security, and organisational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage technical deliverables, including enhancements and upgrades, to meet project requirements within schedule and quality expectations.

  • Collaborate across multiple application teams to manage technical dependencies and ensure solution cohesion.

  • Monitor, assess, and mitigate technical delivery risks and issues.

  • Provide regular updates on technical delivery status to project and program leadership.

  • Partner with System Analysts and Business Solution Specialists to gather, understand, and finalize functional and technical requirements.

  • Work with Architects and Development Leads to ensure solution designs comply with enterprise architecture, security, and control standards.

  • Report technical progress and concerns to Program Managers and Project Managers.

  • Coordinate with Development Managers to oversee application teams delivering required enhancements.

  • Collaborate with Test Managers to ensure successful completion of SIT, UAT, performance/load testing, and application security testing.

  • Develop and manage the technical implementation plan across application teams to ensure smooth production cutovers and strong post-implementation support.

  • Produce and maintain documentation adhering to organizational standards, templates, and policies.

  • Escalate issues that may impact project timelines and recommend appropriate workarounds or resolutions.

  • Oversee production deployment activities to ensure stability, controlled execution, and rapid issue resolution.

Key Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and delivering global or regional IT capabilities within a multinational or regional organization.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience managing IT delivery teams.

  • Strong communication skills when engaging with technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in the banking domain, Java Spring Boot, and microservices is advantageous.

  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale, highly available systems or major technology initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience in systems development, including coding, functional and technical design, systems testing, and delivery (minimum combined experience of 8 years).

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • Effective communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities, with proficiency in systems thinking.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant professional or technical certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
