Job description
About the Company:

Our client is an industry leader in Air and Ground Traffic Management systems. As part of the company's expansion plan, they are looking for a Technical Delivery Director to lead the APAC Engineering Delivery team.

This role leads engineering delivery for large-scale Air Traffic Management (ATM) or Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) projects across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring complex, mission-critical systems are delivered safely, on time, and to customer satisfaction.

Role & Responsibilities:

The Technical Delivery Director is responsible for end-to-end technical delivery, from solution design and system integration through validation, deployment, and handover into operations for ATM or rail/metro control and signaling projects. The role partners closely with project management, solution engineering, internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence across multiple concurrent programs in APAC.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams (systems, software, hardware, integration, cybersecurity) delivering complex ATM or GTS solutions across multiple countries in APAC.
  • Own engineering scope, schedule, cost, quality, and technical risk management for allocated projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and certification requirements.
  • Oversee system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with customer and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance activities, coordinating with labs, testbeds, and on-site deployments in operational environments such as control centres, towers, and trackside installations.
  • Establish and enforce engineering processes, standards, and best practices, including configuration management, change control, and documentation for safety- and mission-critical systems.
  • Act as the primary technical counterpart to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, presenting engineering status, managing technical issues, and supporting bids, proposals, and solution roadmaps.
  • Develop and mentor engineering managers and technical leads, building organizational capabilities in ATM/GTS technologies, tools, and delivery practices across the region.
Key Requirements:
  • Master of Engineering or Computer Science with extensive experience leading engineering delivery for complex, large-scale systems, ideally in Air Traffic Management, Ground Transportation System, rail/metro signalling, or other safety-critical transportation domains.
  • Proven track record managing global and regional projects with multi-cultural engineering teams and large work packages within stringent safety, quality, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of system engineering practices, system integration, networking, cybersecurity, and real-time or distributed control systems relevant to ATM or GTS environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders in APAC.
