We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Consultant to join our APAC team. Reporting to the Head of Consulting (APAC), this role will work closely with key customers delivering API-driven solutions and optimize integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity and enhanced booking workflows.

Main Accountabilities
- API Consulting & Optimization
- Provide expert consulting on API integration strategies, focusing on SOAP and JSON-based APIs.
- Analyze API performance and recommend optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Guide customers on best practices for API usage to maximize booking success and minimize errors.
- GDS & Industry Expertise
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of how GDS systems interact with partners via APIs.
- Advise customers on optimizing booking workflows and leveraging GDS capabilities.
- Support initiatives related to NDC and evolving distribution standards.
- Customer Engagement & Leadership
- Act as the primary technical spokesperson for API-related discussions with customers.
- Lead Bookability (sell failure) investigations, coordinating between customers and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Deliver technical workshops and training sessions to enhance customer capabilities.
- Collaboration
- Partner with Account Management, Global consulting and Product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Provide feedback to product teams on API and GDS enhancements based on customer needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Must-Have
- Strong understanding of SOAP and JSON-based APIs.
- Good understanding of GDS workflows and OTA integration models.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot booking and API transaction flows.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin (speaking and writing) and English.
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience with GDS platforms.
- Knowledge of NDC (New Distribution Capability).
- Familiarity with API investigation tools and development experience.
Context
- Expected to meet with key customers in support of objectives and goals for the region.
- Domestic and/or international travel will be required on occasion. Potentially up to 20% of time.
