Job summary

Job description
Responsibilites
  1. Be part of a team responsible for the smooth, efficient and safe operation of all vessels assigned by Management.
  2. Assist Superintendent in overall administrative support in technical management of all vessels include coordinating, scheduling and management of vessel certificates both Flag/Class, trading, servicing and any related inspections.
  3. Assist Superintendent in monitoring machinery running hours where machinery redundancy is available.
  4. Arrange, follow up and reporting technical support of specialized engineers if so necessary in consultation with Senior Superintendent and Technical Manager.
  5. Assist Superintendent in monitoring machinery performance, PMS forms and highlight/report warnings for appropriate actions in consultation with Senior Superintendent and Technical Manager.
  6. Plan in ample time and attend to the assigned ships periodical and occasional docking.
  7. Attending to vessel docking, repair and surveys when required or assigned by TechnicalManager.
  8. Assist superintendent in monitoring and update of lube oil/bunker analysis, and highlight to the vessel non-conformities and recommendations in consultation with Senior Superintendent and Technical Manager.
  9. Assist Superintendent in following up and close out within the due dates, the audited non-conformancesand observations as documented in the reports.
  10. Attend to and follow up to close up any requirements on ship matters relating to third party claims.
  11. Assist in incident investigation and work closely with the port captain to complete the investigation report.
  12. Coordinate with vendor and arranging service engineers to attend to vessel for servicing when required.
  13. To assist Superintendent on issuance of purchase requisitions.
  14. Assist as required to support the functions of the other departments.
Competencies
  • Sailing on bunker vessel and holding Class 2/3 engine is an advantage.
  • Minimum Diploma in any related engineering course.
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in similar position.
  • A team player and ability to work as a team.
  • Technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
