About the role

As a Tech Lead for ES Tech Consultancy Pte Ltd, you will play a vital role in leading the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions for the banking industry. Working in a contract position based in the Changi East Region, you will be responsible for guiding a team of talented developers and analysts to ensure the successful implementation of complex projects that drive business growth and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery of Corporate Banking systems and applications.
• Work closely with business users, product owners, and project managers to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect, design, and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java/J2EE frameworks and microservices on OpenShift container platform.
• Manage code quality, performance tuning, and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure for CI/CD, deployment, and production support.
• Oversee technical documentation, system design, and configuration management.
• Mentor developers and ensure continuous technical improvement within the team.
• Support integration with banking systems such as Payments, Liquidity, Trade, and Treasury modules.
• Communicate effectively with both English and Mandarin speaking stakeholders, including regional teams and vendors.

What we're looking for

1. Min 8–10 years of experience in enterprise application development and system integration.
2. At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership or solution lead role within Corporate/Wholesale Banking domain.
3. Hands‑on experience designing and deploying applications on OpenShift.
4. Prior exposure to Corporate Banking products and workflows such as Payments, Accounts, Liquidity, or Cash Management preferred.
5. Programming: Strong proficiency in Java / J2EE, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture.
6. Platform: Experience with Red Hat OpenShift (containerization, deployment, scaling, and monitoring).
7. Database: Proficiency in MySQL (schema design, query optimization, stored procedures).
8. DevOps Tools: CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar.
9. Cloud / Container Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (added advantage).
10. System Integration: SOAP/REST APIs, MQ and event-driven integration patterns.
11. Security: Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, SSL, and application security standards.
12. Performance Tuning: Experience in optimizing backend systems for scalability and low latency.
