Job summary

MRA Search is seeking an experienced, pragmatic lawyer to be based in Singapore and support all legal matters for a tech-focused firm. This hands-on role involves drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on regulatory and employment matters, and managing corporate governance.

You will provide clear, business-focused legal guidance with strong drafting skills, and collaborate with product, sales, HR, and leadership to mitigate risk in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with admission to practise in a common-law jurisdiction (Singapore admission not required for in-house).
• 5–8 years of relevant legal experience (in-house and/or law firm).
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across commercial contracts.
• Solid understanding of employment law, data protection, IP basics, and regulatory compliance for tech.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (SaaS, cloud, vendor, reseller, distribution, NDAs, professional services).
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to product, sales, HR, finance and leadership on commercial risk and regulatory matters.
• Maintain corporate governance: board packs, minutes, filings, and company secretarial coordination.
• Proactively review and update legal templates, policies and processes to mitigate risk.
