Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the sludge treatment plant to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous processing.
• To supervise and to encourage Shift Technician on maximizing treatment quantity of DWS and DS safely.
• To minimize utilities consumptions such as PNG, caustic soda, new water, electricity and fly ash bags at all time.
• To ensure that sludge transfer pump is in good condition at all times in case DWS and DS cranes are out of order.
• To make sure that “Operation Daily Maintenance Schedule”, Forklift Checklist”, Excavator Checklist”, Weigh Loader Checklist” and “STP – Emergency Response Equipment Inspection” are done daily.
• Routine inspection of machine and equipment conditions and staff on duties.
• Monitor and brief Staff on EHS regulations at work.
• To re-educate Shift Technicians & Operators on plants “Standard Operating Procedures” and “Risk Assessment” at least twice a year or a new SOP & RA is implemented.
• To compile and review daily and monthly operation reports such as incoming DWS & DS quantity, PNG, caustic soda, new water and electricity consumptions.
• To report to Manager any abnormality encountered during operation.
• To monitor/ check IC penstock daily (Morning Shift). Any abnormality to inform Manager and or maintenance.
• To follow the schedule and timing properly during plant maintenance shutdown to minimize its downtime.
• Assist Manager to conduct “Risk Assessment” for new activity at STP.
• Assist Manager to make “Standard Operating Procedure” for new activity at STP.
• Encourages sharing of knowledge on plant operation improvements to increase productions, minimize shutdown time and utilities consumptions.
• Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements and environmental regulations at all times. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to waste handling, sludge disposal, and environmental discharge limits
• Record operational data, plant performance, sludge volume, chemical usage, and equipment status. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering and/or a related field.
• Self-motivated; works effectively both independently and in a team to complete tasks.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in process operations.

Remuneration

• Basic salary: $2,600 – $2,800
• Entitled to Overtime / Shift Allowance
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)
• Company Transport / Transport Allowance ($120) if candidate manages own transport
