A leading employment services provider is seeking a Team Leader / Shift Supervisor for terminal operations in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in terminal operations, and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include leading the team in troubleshooting, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role involves a 12-hour rotating shift and offers a competitive salary package.

Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:30am – 7:30pm / 7:30pm – 7:30am)
Salary Range: Up to S$6,500 (Basic)
Allowances:
Monthly Fixed Shift Allowance – S$1,050
Management Allowance – S$200

Key Responsibilities
Lead the team in troubleshooting, investigations, and resolving operational incidents and abnormalities.
Act as Site Main Controller (SMC) for emergencies during after-office hours until Operations or Terminal Manager arrives.
Oversee process control, recovery operations, and emergency response efforts.
Drive reduction of ship-shore variance and manage the Terminal Inventory Management System.
Coordinate plant turnaround, planned maintenance, and daily permit-to-work processes.
Ensure operational compliance with VF standards, SHEQ, and local regulatory requirements.
Manage manpower scheduling, workflow planning, and inter-department communication to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Lead shift briefings and communicate key operational objectives to the team.
Support audits (customer, ISO, safety, THA, and regulatory) and ensure full compliance.
Manage relationships with internal and external customers, addressing inquiries, complaints, and expectations promptly.
Lead, coach, and develop team members through training, performance reviews, and competency assessments.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives and support ACE programs as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) trainer.
Supervise, motivate, and develop staff to build a cohesive, high-performing operations team.
Support talent development and succession planning within the operations department.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in terminal operations within a similar industry.
At least 3 years of supervisory or team coordination experience.
Strong understanding of terminal operations, product handling, and equipment.
In-depth knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) practices and local regulations.
Trained or familiar with Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), Working at Height, and Permit-to-Work systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
