Job summary

A leading recreation management company in Singapore is looking for an experienced individual to assist in managing operations at various recreational spaces. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, conducting readiness checks, and ensuring high standards of guest service. Candidates should have a diploma/certifications in a relevant field and 2-3 years of experience in hospitality or attractions management. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description
JOB PURPOSE

Assist Head/Dy Head of Unit in providing high standard of guest service, upkeeping and coordinate day to day operations for Fort Siloso, Skywalk, Sentosa Nature Discovery (SND) and Nature Trails as well as assisting with access facilitation, events support, tour guiding, facilities management and readiness checks within the recreational spaces on Sentosa.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct facilities and management readiness checks to ensure that Fort Siloso are in satisfactory condition in accordance to National Monument guidelines and daily operations are efficiently-run.

  • Manage and oversee the coordination of daily operation of recreational spaces on Sentosa.

  • Prepare staff roster to ensure sufficient manpower daily.

  • Follow up on faults reported in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Gather feedback from teams and initiate improvements in operations, procedures and service standards.

  • Liaise with other departments on events/activities to be held at the recreational spaces on Sentosa.

  • Handle supervisory administrative duties e.g. submission of visitorship, reports, inspection checklist, fault reports, hourly rated staff payroll, etc.

  • Manage communication mediums between guests and recreational spaces on Sentosa.

  • Managing cross deployment of staff within the recreational spaces on Sentosa.

  • Coordinate and work closely with government agencies, stakeholders and island partners to manage the recreational spaces on Sentosa.

  • Complete any other duties assigned from time to time

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support to ad hoc events and outreach programs organized by Sentosa Development Corporation

  • Coordinate and provide support for harmonizing and driving show excellence and experiential requirements for future new recreational spaces on Sentosa eg. Sensoryscape, etc

  • Identify hazards and liaise with respective stakeholders to rectify it for safety of our guest and ourselves

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that smooth operation of recreational spaces on Sentosa in accordance with guest service, guidelines and operational standards as defined by Sentosa Development Corporation

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma / Nitec / Certifications in any discipline, preferably in Tourism Field of Study with at least 2-3 years of experience in service/hospitality industry, attractions management, museum management, facilities management, park management, etc.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications predominantly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

  • Good knowledge and relevant working experience in public interfacing area and Operation of Attraction / Museum / Facilities / Park Management

  • Self-driven with multi-tasking capabilities and willingness to go the extra miles. good problem solving.

  • Analytical and conflict resolution skills in guest engagement and experience in guest service and hospitality.

  • Experience in leading a small team.

  • A team player who is able to communicate well with relevant stakeholders

  • Some experience in content development, facilitate and conduct guided tours/programmes or delivery of guided tours will be an added advantage

  • Preferably possesses Class 2B or Class 3 Driver’s License
