A leading engineering recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for a skilled Engineering Lead to manage and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers. This role involves guiding Lean Six Sigma initiatives, optimizing production processes, and exploring new manufacturing techniques. Candidates should possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in precision machining. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in CAD software and ERP systems.

Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers to enhance daily operations in tooling, programming, and process routing.
Guide the team in executing Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects aimed at optimizing production processes.
Monitor production performance to meet efficiency targets and maximize the utilization of resources.
Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conforming jobs and collaboratively resolve issues.
Explore and implement new manufacturing techniques, tooling, and technologies to advance organizational capabilities; lead Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives for equipment purchases.
Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
Prepare subcontracting scopes with detailed drawings to address in-house machining limitations.
Maintain and update 2D CAD layouts as needed.
Undertake additional tasks as necessary, such as item code creation and technical report preparation.
Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
Strong and extensive experience in precision machining is essential.
Hands‑on expertise in advanced machining (multi‑axis) and secondary operations.
Proficient in creating manufacturing routings using an ERP system.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Skilled in 2D/3D CAD software applications like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience with ERP systems is necessary.
Independent and proactive in managing tasks, coupled with robust problem‑solving abilities.
Proven capability to lead a team, effectively assign tasks, and address production and engineering challenges.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of products and applications in machining is desirable.
Understanding of 5CT / API specifications is a plus.
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the field.
