Job Description
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that equip students with knowledge and skills, using innovative pedagogy and authentic learning experiences (e.g. outdoor/field-based activities, internships, competitions).
- Design meaningful and relevant teaching resources, including assignments, performance tasks, and ICT-based innovations.
- Assess students’ learning and track their academic progress closely.
- Provide targeted remediation and after-school support to help students make steady progress.
- Manage classroom learning effectively and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Serve as a Form Teacher to facilitate Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) and provide quality pastoral care, working collaboratively with parents, school counsellors, and relevant agencies.
- Plan and conduct co-curricular activities (CCAs) to nurture students’ character and leadership.
- Support department operations (e.g., programme planning, events coordination, procurement, inventory, and facilities management).
- Customize lessons and support for low-progress learners and students with special educational needs (SEN).
Job Requirements
- A recognized degree and teaching qualification (e.g., from the National Institute of Education). Relevant experience is an advantage.
- Strong ability to connect with the learning needs of students taking Malay Language at the N(T)/G1 levels.
- Passionate about helping students grow into confident, purposeful individuals.
- Able to build rapport with students to inspire and motivate them.
- Innovative and resourceful, with the ability to use varied teaching methods, including multimedia tools, to engage learners.
