Job summary

Hua Cheng Education Centre (Yishun) invites an enthusiastic Preschool Assistant to support Chinese teachers during lessons in Singapore. You will help children adjust, learn and socialize, and you may accompany them to the washroom while maintaining a safe classroom environment.

The role requires bilingual abilities in Chinese and English, solid classroom management, and weekend availability. Prior teaching experience in a similar setting is preferred, with a cheerful, responsible attitude

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Chinese and English.
• Preferably some teaching experience in preschool or similar field.
• Must be willing to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist preschool Chinese teachers with various tasks.
• Help preschool students adjust, learn and socialize during Chinese lessons.
• Escort and supervise preschool students to the washroom.
• Set up materials for classes (e.g. TV, laptops).
• Review lesson materials and guide students with learning challenges.
• Disinfect after class and perform simple cleaning.
• Ensure classrooms are safe and tidy before class starts.
• Disinfect, clean and set up classroom for next lesson.
• Demonstrate responsible, cheerful attitude with great classroom management.
• Must be able to work on weekends.
