Lesson & Practical Preparation
- Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for practical lessons.
- Batch and portion ingredients according to recipes.
- Check quality and freshness of dry and perishable food items before use.
Food Lab Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and preparation areas before and after lessons.
Ensure proper disposal of food waste.
- Conduct safety checks on electrical appliances and gas points to ensure they are switched off after sessions.
- Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
General Support
- Assist teachers from various departments using the food labs with equipment or ingredient preparation.
- Support inter‑school culinary competitions with prep work and housekeeping.
- Assist Nutrition & Food Science Club activities through material preparation and lab upkeep.
- Support FCE teachers during practical lessons.
Requirement
- GCE A‑Level or Diploma qualification.
- Familiarity with Nutrition/Food Science (e.g., studied the subject or prior relief teaching).
- Passion for working with staff and students.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a school environment.

- Contract Duration: 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026
Work Timing
- Monday: 7:30am to 6.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Tuesdays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Friday: 7:30am to 1:00pm
Work Timing – School Break
- June 12 days (flexible): 8.00am to 5.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- November 3 days (flexible): 8.00am to 5.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- December 5 days (flexible): 8.00am to 5.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
