TAX MANAGER
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to manager our tax team in delivering tax compliance and advisory services. The ideal candidate will oversee a portfolio of corporate clients’ tax compliance, assist the Tax Director to provide strategic tax advice, and ensure full compliance with Singapore tax laws and IRAS requirements. This role requires good technical expertise, leadership capability, and client management experience within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Income Tax & GST Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and review of corporate income tax computations, GST filings, and withholding tax submissions.
- Manage the completion of all tax returns and ensure timely filing with IRAS.
- Work closely with the Tax Director on tax engagement management.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Singapore tax laws and guidelines.
- Lead a team of tax professionals and manage a portfolio of tax clients
2. Tax Advisory & Planning
Assisting the Tax Director in tax advisory engagement
- tax advisory on corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.
- Advise on transfer pricing tax incentives, and international tax issues.
3. Client Portfolio & Relationship Management
- Manage a diverse client portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and proactive advisory support.
- Liaise with IRAS and other authorities on behalf of clients during tax audits, investigations, and queries.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of tax seniors and associates, providing guidance and technical training.
- Review deliverables prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and complies with quality management.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, diversity, professional growth, and accountability within the team.
5. Technical Excellence & Process Improvement
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm’s policies and practices remain compliant.
- Drive process improvements, standardisation, and the use of technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the firm’s knowledge-sharing and technical updates.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Professional qualification (e.g., SCTP, CPA, ACCA, CA Singapore), Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5–6 years of relevant tax experience, including managerial exposure in a professional services or accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax regulations.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax software.
