Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Tax Accountant for a 2-3 month contract. Responsibilities include preparing and filing corporate tax returns, handling queries from Tax Authorities, and reviewing tax provisions. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant experience and a degree in Accountancy or equivalent. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work well with finance colleagues.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in tax-related roles.
- Accreditation with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) preferred.
- Good technical skills in accounting and tax.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and computations.
- Handle queries from Tax Authorities and draft replies.
- Review tax provision and related disclosures in financial statements.
- Participate in projects as assigned.

Job Details
- Work location: Tanjong Pagar
- Contract Duration: 2-3 Months
- Working hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30-6pm
- Salary: $6000-8000
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and file ECL, corporate tax returns, and computations to Tax Authorities
- Handle and draft replies to queries from Tax Authorities
- Verify and advise on finance on Tax Authorities’ tax assessments and objects to tax assessments, where applicable
- Prepare for statutory reporting
- Review tax provision and tax related disclosures in financial statements
- Participate in other tasks/projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA / CPA qualification or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant experience
- Accreditation with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) will be preferred
- Good technical skills and knowledge
- Detailed oriented, methodical and able to inquire and manage tasks independently
- High level of initiative and good interpersonal skills and ability to partner with Finance colleagues
- Ability to articulate tax concepts effectively
