The Tax Manager is responsible for leading all tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across the Group’s Singapore and Australia entities. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, optimizes the Group’s overall tax position, and supports management with strategic tax advice. The Tax Manager works closely with Finance, Treasury, and external advisors to oversee both direct and indirect tax matters, as well as SGX-related reporting requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage corporate income tax compliance for Singapore and Australia entities, including preparation and review of tax returns, filings, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee GST, VAT, and other indirect tax obligations; ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Review tax provisions, deferred tax computations, and disclosures for Group and subsidiary statutory financial statements, ensuring alignment with SGX reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in Singapore and Australian tax laws, rulings, and incentives; evaluate their impact and recommend actions.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimise cash flow, foreign exchange exposures, and the Group’s effective tax rate.
- Partner with Finance and Treasury teams on cross-border transactions, funding structures, and working capital optimisation from a tax perspective.
- Manage and coordinate responses to tax audits, reviews, and queries from IRAS, ATO, and other regulatory bodies.
- Provide tax input for business restructuring, M&A activities, intercompany arrangements, and transfer pricing documentation.
- Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulators to ensure strong governance and compliance.
- Strengthen the Group’s internal controls and processes for tax reporting and risk management.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to finance team members on tax compliance and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent) required.
- 7–10 years of relevant tax experience, including exposure to both Singapore and Australian jurisdictions.
- Strong technical expertise in corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing.
- Familiarity with SGX reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi‑entity, cross‑border tax matters.

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
