About the role
We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on, and detail‑oriented Senior Tax Manager to join our regional finance team. This role plays a pivotal part in driving international tax compliance, transfer pricing governance, and strategic tax planning for the Group across multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore, Japan, India and Malaysia, etc.
You will lead the regional tax function, ensure robust tax governance, manage tax risks in a complex manufacturing and cross‑border environment, and support the Group’s continued business expansion and capital‑intensive investments.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Governance
- Oversee all aspects of direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and statutory filings
- Ensure timely, accurate filing of tax returns and monitoring of tax payments for Singapore and overseas subsidiaries
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance tax policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a strong tax governance framework
Transfer Pricing & International Tax
- Lead the Group’s transfer pricing strategy, policies, and documentation
- Manage transfer pricing audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Support intercompany transactions, including cross‑border equipment transfers, services, and financing arrangements
- Identify and mitigate risks relating to permanent establishment (PE), profit attribution, and cross‑border operations
Strategic Tax Planning & Advisory
- Provide strategic tax planning and commercially pragmatic advice to business and finance stakeholders
- Support M&A activities, cross‑border investments, internal restructurings, and new business initiatives
- Manage tax planning and compliance for Finance and Treasury Centre (FTC) incentive schemes, including eligibility monitoring and liaison with authorities
- Advise on tax incentives, grants, and investment‑related tax matters
Regulatory & Risk Management
- Identify and manage tax risks arising from evolving global tax frameworks, including OECD BEPS 2.0, Pillar Two, CbCR, Japan CFC rules, and other international developments
- Coordinate with auditors, external tax advisors, and government agencies to support audits, disputes, and advance rulings
- Lead responses to tax authority reviews, audits, and investigations with a strong defense mindset
People & Stakeholder Management
- Mentor and develop tax team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and regional teams
- Travel occasionally to India, Malaysia and China to support regional tax matters and stakeholder engagement
Key Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of relevant tax experience, including experience in Big 4 and/or a multinational corporation
- Strong technical expertise in corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax
- Solid understanding of regional tax regimes, particularly Singapore, India and Malaysia
- Experience in manufacturing industries is highly advantageous
- Proven track record in managing tax audits and dealing with tax authorities
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with SAP
- CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
