Job summary

TALENTSIS PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT/Networking professional to design, implement and commission data communication systems for rail and metro projects in Singapore and abroad.

You will conduct proofs of concept, factory acceptance tests and interface system integration tests prior to onsite deployment. The role requires 1-5 years’ WAN/LAN experience, familiarity with IP-MPLS and OSPF, and hands-on work with Cisco/Alcatel-Lucent/Extreme/Huawei devices.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in IT or computer engineering related discipline.
• CCNA/CCNP/HCIA/HCIP or other relevant certification advantageous.
• 1-5 years’ experience working with WAN/LAN technologies (IP-MPLS, OSPF, ERP).
• Experience with Cisco/Alcatel-Lucent/Extreme/Huawei network devices and related troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, select, implement, test and commission data communication systems for Rail & Metro projects.
• Conduct proofs of concept, factory acceptance tests and interface system integration tests before onsite implementation.
• Perform system acceptance testing with customers after implementation and handover.
• Maintain high system availability and network access controls, and update network infrastructure documentation.
• Proactively monitor critical systems and troubleshoot faults using automated tools.
• Configure and install transport and LAN equipment (e.g., Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent) per project needs; liaise with vendors to meet delivery timelines.

Job description

Key Job Responsibilities

• To design, select, implement,test and commissioning the data communication system for Rail & Metro Transportation in local and overseas projects
• To conduct Proof of concept,factory acceptance test as well as interface system integration test prior the actual design/ onsite implementation.
• To conduct system acceptance test with the customer after implementation prior handling over to the customer.
• To provide high level of system availability, access controls of network resources, technical write-up and updating of the network infrastructure for the project being implemented.
• To pro-actively monitor critical system and troubleshoot if there are faults detected from the system through the use of automated tools.
• To configure and install transport network equipment (Example: Huawei, Nokia) and Local Area network equipment (Example: Cisco, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent) based on the project requirements.
• To liaise with vendors and suppliers for job to be accomplished as well as time schedule of delivery to meet the project timeline.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in IT or Computer Engineering related discipline
• CCNA/CCNP/HCIA/HCIP or otherrelevant certification will be advantageous
• 1-5 years’ experience working with Wide Area Network/Local Area Network technologies such as IP-MPLS, OSPF,ERP etc.
• Experience in Cisco/Alcatel-Lucent/ Extreme/Huawei network devices or other devices such as routers, switches, etc.
• Experience in Network design/planning/ implementation/troubleshooting will be an advantage
