Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and document business requirements for lending products, processes, and systems through interviews, workshops, and research.
  • Analyze current lending processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize operations and mitigate risks.
  • Support solution design by translating business requirements into functional specifications and process models.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Prepare process documentation, user guides, and training materials to support system adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, risk managers, and IT teams, to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to project planning, progress tracking, and reporting using project management tools.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards throughout project activities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a business, actuarial, finance or technology discipline
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program or have obtained the qualification with a well ranked institution
  • Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in the Consulting Industry and/or Financial Services Industry – Banking Institutions
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asia market, the core trends and drivers, with proficiency in articulating regulatory, economic, technological, and business impacts on key institutions
  • Experience in business analysis on lending projects within banking or financial services.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and interpretation using tools such as Excel.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a client-focused environment.
  • Experience supporting or delivering lending system implementations (e.g., loan origination or servicing systems).
  • Exposure to commercial lending processes or experience in relevant business roles (e.g., Relationship Manager, product owner, or similar).
  • Familiarity with general ledger (GL) principles and regulatory requirements as they relate to lending.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation, automation, and industry-specific lending platforms (e.g., FIS, Finastra).
  • Experience with change management, end-user training, and adoption support.
  • Familiarity with process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of payment processing, AI, and risk management as they specifically relate to lending operations.
