Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements for lending products, processes, and systems through interviews, workshops, and research.
- Analyze current lending processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize operations and mitigate risks.
- Support solution design by translating business requirements into functional specifications and process models.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
- Prepare process documentation, user guides, and training materials to support system adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, risk managers, and IT teams, to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Contribute to project planning, progress tracking, and reporting using project management tools.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards throughout project activities.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a business, actuarial, finance or technology discipline
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program or have obtained the qualification with a well ranked institution
- Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in the Consulting Industry and/or Financial Services Industry – Banking Institutions
- Knowledge of Southeast Asia market, the core trends and drivers, with proficiency in articulating regulatory, economic, technological, and business impacts on key institutions
- Experience in business analysis on lending projects within banking or financial services.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and interpretation using tools such as Excel.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities in a client-focused environment.
- Experience supporting or delivering lending system implementations (e.g., loan origination or servicing systems).
- Exposure to commercial lending processes or experience in relevant business roles (e.g., Relationship Manager, product owner, or similar).
- Familiarity with general ledger (GL) principles and regulatory requirements as they relate to lending.
- Knowledge of digital transformation, automation, and industry-specific lending platforms (e.g., FIS, Finastra).
- Experience with change management, end-user training, and adoption support.
- Familiarity with process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Understanding of payment processing, AI, and risk management as they specifically relate to lending operations.
