Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

• Continuously analyse platform behaviour and give recommendation for improvements (system/infrastructure)

• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

• Write and maintain custom scripts to lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

• Help the network teams with specifications for the monitoring and automation requirements.

• Participate in standby roster as needed, providing 2nd / 3rd level support, and ensuring timely resolution of incident tickets.

• Write and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.

• May involve project-based work for the improvement of the network.

• Assist in any other duties as assigned from time to time, where applicable.

Role Requirements

• Familiarization with company’s network architecture and all relevant products/processes in interaction with different platforms

• Good experience in networking concepts and equipment such as IPv4/IPv6, MPLS/BGP/OSPF, netflow, routers, switches, load balancers, probes

• Good understanding of LAN and WAN technologies based on Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, etc.

• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, and troubleshooting

• Strong competency in shell and python scripting languages

• Knowledge in KVM, Docker/Kubernetes, and ELK stack

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Nagios, Cacti, Zabbix, etc.

• Familiarity with high availability system architecture (load balancing, redundancy, caching)

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities (logs analysis, database queries, etc)

• Experience in database manipulation and administration (backup, replication, troubleshooting)

• Self-learner in new system matters

• Ability to work as part of operational team and to support multiple tasks at the same time

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing environment and business demands

• Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of management, presenting ideas in user-friendly language

• Strong written and oral communication skills
