Job summary

IT Consultancy & Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a System Engineer to assist in project implementation and maintenance of the implemented system. You will perform routine maintenance, OS/application upgrades, and handle service/change requests to resolve incidents with external support when required.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Computer/IT with 1–3 years of related experience, and familiarity with UNIX/Linux, Windows Server, VM, and ITIL is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Computer/IT is required.
• 1 year to 3 years working experience as a System Engineer or similar.
• Willingness to train in Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, VM and ITIL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project implementation and maintenance of the implemented system.
• Perform routine maintenance activities as scheduled and upgrade/patch OS and applications.
• Attend to system/service requests and provide incident resolution with external support when needed.
• Identify root cause and implement preventive and corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Provide timely incident and problem reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Project Implementation and Maintenance of the Implemented System.
• Perform and ensure routine maintenance activities are carried out as scheduled.
• Perform OS/application upgrades/patching.
• Attend to system or application service and change request.
• Provide resolution for all application and/or technical incidents and work with external support if required.
• Identify root cause, preventive and corrective measures for identified problems to prevent recurring incidents.
• Provide incident and problem reporting for all stakeholders in timely and professional manner

Requirement

• Possess at least a Diploma or its equivalent in Computer /IT with minimum 1-3 years working experience in related field. Fresh graduate may be considered.
• At least 1 year of working experience as a System Engineer supporting application of UNIX/LINUX platform and database.
• Trained or certified in Windows Server, UNIX/LINUX, VM andITIL would be advantageous.
• Analytical, proactive and able to multi-task and prioritize all work assigned.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and customer-handling skills would be advantageous.
• Proactive and responsive on all assigned tasks and incidents and follow up
• 24 x 7 standby
