A leading research institution in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT (Network Infrastructure) Engineer to ensure 24/7 server availability and manage network operations for a global platform. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and at least 5 years of experience in networking and virtualization. Responsibilities include deploying virtual machines, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting network issues. This role plays a crucial part in supporting global health research.
The IT (Network Infrastructure) Engineer is responsible for ensuring 24/7 server availability and network stability to support our global platform for pathogen data sharing. This role focuses on setting up, deploying, and maintaining virtual machines based on data submission demands, while managing networks and network service providers to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
The candidate will work closely with compute engineers, system administrators, and scientific teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure network operations that support continuous global access to genomic data.
