Job summary

A global engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an IVVQ Engineer to oversee planning and executing verification and validation activities. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of related experience, especially in large integrated systems. Responsibilities include creating test plans and coordinating with global teams. Candidates should be familiar with Unix/Linux systems and defect management processes, with travel to Europe required every two months.

TheIVVQ Engineer is responsible for planning, participating and supervising theefficient integration, verification and validation (IVV) execution defense andsupporting systems. He/she assures that the appropriate means and practices areapplied to guarantee the adherence to defined requirements and qualitystandards with minimal wasted effort or inefficiencies. IVVQ Engineer isresponsible for the Test plan and reports, assuring that the scope of the IVVactivities fully covers all aspects of the system under test, while taking allprevious verification activities on comparable systems into account to optimizethe test effort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Planning and Execution of IVV activities
  • Decides on the appropriate test strategy, modules and practices
  • Create and conduct the System Test plan and report
  • Works closely with IVVQ Manager and Project Engineers to agree on testing durations and project risks
  • Efficiently manages test resources (staff, software &hardware)
  • Manages Defects / Engineering Changes for the customer
  • Contributes to the estimation, planning and execution of IVV activities
  • Be able to coordinate activities with a global team
  • Participate in Bid activities providing scope and costing
  • Able to travel to Europe once in 2 months for a period of 2 weeksper trip
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5 years’experience,
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in Verification/Validation experience in largeintegrated systems
  • Previous knowledge of Unix /Linux/ Android systems
  • Expertise in defect reporting, characterization, and managementworkflows - Use of common defect management and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret requirement documentation - Use ofcommon requirements management and tools
  • Creativity in detecting and provoking possible problems
  • Expertise in common test practices (Functional tests, userscenario tests, automation)
  • Previous experience writing and reviewing test cases
  • Comfortable with handling and performing troubleshooting on ITsoftware & hardware
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of comprehensive experience in an softwareengineering integration, verification or validation team
  • Experienced in the integration of software systems, able tocoordinate activities internal and external to the system
  • Collaborate with clients, software developers, and otherstakeholders to identify system requirements and ensure that our softwareproducts meet those requirements
  • Working experience with open-source configuration management anddeployment tools such as Puppet or Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linuxscripting.
  • Understanding of software development methods and electrical/mechanical design
  • User Interfaces, Networking, wireless, and/or communicationsystems test experience, software APIs
  • Be versatile to be able to handle job scopes such as supportingbids and Work Package Management
