Ambiq Micro Singapore Private Ltd seeks an experienced Systems Architect to guide the Singapore development team in defining low-power SoC architectures and subsystem interfaces. You will drive architectural direction, perform IP evaluation, and ensure alignment with product requirements across hardware and software teams.
The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, modeling, and post-silicon support to deliver edge AI capable, energy-efficient devices.
Ambiq'smission is to enable intelligence everywhere by delivering the lowest power semiconductor solutions.Ambiqis a pioneer and a leading provider of ultra-low-power semiconductor solutions based on our proprietary and patented sub- and near-threshold technologies. Withthe increasingpower requirements of artificial intelligence (AI) computing, our customersare relyingon our solutions to deliver AI to edge environments. Our hardware and software innovations fundamentally deliver a multi-fold improvement in power consumption over traditional semiconductor designs without expensive process geometry scaling. Webegan in 2010 by addressing the power consumption challenges of battery-powered devices at the edge, where theywere mostpronounced. As of the beginning of 2025,we'veshipped more than280+million units worldwide.
Our innovative and fast-moving teams of design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations are spread across several continents, including the US (Austin), Taiwan (Hsinchu), China (Shanghai andShenzhen), and Singapore. We value relentless technology innovation, a deep commitment to customer success, collaborative problem-solving, and an enthusiastic pursuit of energy efficiency. We embrace candidates who also share these same values. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, creative, and comfortable learning and driving excitingnew technologies. We encourage and nurture an environmentthat fosters growth and opportunities to work on complex, meaningful, and challenging projects, creating a lastingimpactand shapingthe future of technology. Join us on our quest forenablingbillions of intelligentdevices. The intelligenceeverywhererevolution starts here.
As the Systems Architect in Ambiqs Singapore development office, you will represent the Architecture function on-site and serve as the primary architectural guide for the Singapore development team. You will drive the architectural definition of Ambiqs low-power SoCs, with a specific focus on the subsystems and interfaces owned by the Singapore development team—spanning audio, imaging and display, high-speed and general-purpose interfaces, and the broader question of how the SoC connects to the external world.
This is a critical function at Ambiq that supports the delivery of the worlds lowest-power electronic devices, enabling ubiquitous AI at the edge. This is a cross-functional position working with software and hardware engineering teams, applications engineering, and field teams to ensure alignment with product requirements, logical and physical design constraints, power and performance targets, and overall system architecture. This role will encompasshigh-levelarchitecturalspecification, IP investigation and selection, power/performancemodeling, and maintaining alignment with Ambiqs overall architectural direction.
Expectations for a successful candidate are as follows:
You should be comfortable with independent specification, analysis, and development from high-level concepts through design and validation, as well as collaborative work with software and hardware engineering teams. Deep knowledge of SoC subsystems and the interfaces that connect them to the external world—such as audio (e.g., I2S/PDM), imaging and display (e.g., MIPI CSI/DSI), and other high- and low-speed links (e.g., USB, SPI, I2C)— targeting wearable, IoT, and mobile systems is critical, along with proven experience bringing low-power architectures to market. A working knowledge of SoC architecture, fabric/interconnect technologies, power management, and advanced process nodes is preferred. You should also be comfortable working with complete system dataflows and modeling to guide hardware and software analysis and development.
