Job Description

Dymon Asia is looking for a Systematic Commodities Analyst. The skillset needed should be focused on systematic commodities that cover various exchanges with an experience of assisting in building out a systematic infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cross-commodity relative value, macro-linked factors, and systematic alpha generation through quantitative and discretionary frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Actively managing investment portfolio within systematic commodities across various markets.
  • Analysis of economic and financial indicators across various commodities.
  • Assisting PM with managing models and monitoring trades.
  • Ability to understand and articulate views on the portfolio in detail
  • Conducting fundamental and macroeconomic analysis to complement systematic signals and inform model calibration.
Qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in systematic or hybrid systematic-discretionary commodities trading, with strong knowledge across multiple sub-sectors (energy, metals, agriculture).
  • Proven ability to design, test, and deploy quantitative models using statistical, econometric, or machine-learning techniques.
  • Understanding of a K-Fold systematic process and how it can be applied within the commodities landscape.
  • Must be able to do research independently.
  • Must have a sound investment framework and portfolio management skills
  • Must know how to risk manage and size positions according to PM level risk limits
  • Ability to grow a systematic pipeline and infrastructure from scratch
  • A strong investment process and framework is a must
  • Quantitative skills in investment process would be an advantage
  • . Advanced programming or quantitative analysis skills (Python, R, MATLAB, etc.) would be advantageous.
  • . Must be able to work closely with Systematic Commodities PM and contribute to the wider research universe.
