  • Apply workarounds or fixes where possible and elevate to development teams when required.
  • Support scheduled maintenance and conduct post-maintenance validation.
  • Perform daily BAU monitoring of application performance and system availability.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to ensure compliance and security hygiene.

About the Role

We’re looking for a System Operation Support Engineer to provide L2 application and system support for enterprise-level platforms in a government environment. The role involves handling daily operational issues, coordinating scheduled maintenance, and ensuring system stability through proactive monitoring and account management activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and triage incoming incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution in line with SLA.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate application issues by analyzing logs, querying databases (SQL), and identifying root causes.
  • Apply workarounds or fixes where possible (data patching, configuration adjustments), and elevate to development teams when required.
  • Support scheduled maintenance — coordinate with stakeholders, conduct post-maintenance validation, and confirm service restoration.
  • Perform daily BAU monitoring of application performance, system availability, and batch job success.
  • Conduct regular account reviews (OS, Database, Privileged user, Outsystems, GCC 2.0, etc.) to ensure compliance and security hygiene.
Requirements
Technical Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical ability with experience in L2/L3 application support.
  • Familiar with SQL querying, log analysis, and system monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of application architecture and infrastructure fundamentals.
