Our client is seeking an SMO Engineer to support the System Management Office, working closely with System Managers, end users, and vendors to oversee operations, maintenance, and governance of mission-critical network systems in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Support operations and maintenance oversight for core data network systems
• Manage incident, problem, change, risk, vulnerability, and patch management processes
• Coordinate and lead vendor O&S teams to meet SLAs and service standards
• Review vendor reports, system health, and service deliverables
• Drive service improvement and governance initiatives

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3–4 years’ experience in network operations, maintenance, or governance roles
• CCNA or equivalent certification required
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP)
• Experience managing vendors, SLAs, and stakeholder communications
• Prior exposure to defence or government environments is highly preferred
• Strong communication and reporting skills
