Job summary

ALTROCKS TECH PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT System Administrator to maintain and support enterprise UNIX/Linux environments in Singapore.

You will apply solid hands-on experience in administering multiple Unix variants, clustering, sleuthing performance issues, and scripting with Perl, Ruby or AWK. Candidates should have a Diploma in IT/CS and at least 3 years of relevant experience; knowledge of Solarwinds is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT/CS is required.
• Minimum 3 years of enterprise-level Unix/Linux administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of RedHat Clustering and Oracle Solaris Clustering.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby and AWK.
• Familiarity with Solarwinds monitoring tool.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy is an advantage (not required).
• Work hours typically 9am–6pm with variations due to 24x7 environment (e.g., patching activities).
