Summary:
We are seeking a System Engineer to gather user requirements, design practical solutions, and support the implementation and testing of systems. In this role, you will be responsible for requirement gathering, design documentation, equipment procurement, system setup, testing, and troubleshooting. You will also play a key role in coordinating with procurement, conducting training, and ensuring smooth system handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements & Design:
- Gather user requirements and translate them into practical design solutions while adhering to contract requirements.
- Prepare and revise design documents for submission and approval.
- Gather system equipment catalogues for client approval.
Procurement & Delivery Tracking:
- Support the Technical Manager in tracking equipment delivery to avoid schedule slippages.
- Liaise with Procurement to prepare purchase requisitions (PR) for system‑related equipment.
Testing & Troubleshooting:
- Set up and coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) (internal and external) and prepare test checklists.
- Test systems, report faults, and coordinate with the site team for rectification.
- Troubleshoot system issues as needed.
System Configuration & Handover:
- Generate termination diagrams for the site team.
- Configure and set up SQL, Clustering, Hyper‑V, network, firewall, and system hardening.
- Conduct training sessions and submit Operating and Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
- Brief the maintenance team for system handover.
Qualifications:
- Experience in setup and configuration of SQL, Clustering, and Hyper‑V.
- Knowledge of network configuration, firewall setup, and system hardening.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with procurement, site teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and conduct training sessions.
