Job description

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Engineer to join a leading technology organisation in the East Region. As a System Engineer (AWS & Windows server 2019), you will be responsible for providing high‑quality technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's cloud infrastructure and on‑premises Windows servers. This is a 1 year project renewable assignment, and will work in a remote site in East Region of Singapore.

Mandatory skillset AWS cloud with minimal AWS Associate certification.

Mandatory : Hands on work experienced in AWS environment with networking background, preferable with CCNA certification or Fortigate/Fortinet certification.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and other AWS services
2. Administer and support Windows Server 2019 environments, including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers
3. Operations and facility management of Systems / Infrastructure according to established procedures and service levels
4. Manage systems changes through established change request process and provide status reports to the relevant parties
5. Respond promptly to incident, investigate and provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties
6. Conduct root cause analysis and implement proactive measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures
7. Monitor and measure the performance and availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability
8. Monitor the agreed service level (e.g. service request, system availability), document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties
9. Plan and implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business
10. Provide systems related technical advice to customers or project team
11. Provide on‑job-training and guidance for junior engineers

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with expertise in AWS and Windows Server 2019
2. Strong hands‑on experience in administering and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, and other AWS services
3. Proficient in managing and maintaining Windows Server 2019 environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and other server‑related technologies
4. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
5. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
6. Passionate about staying up‑to‑date with the latest technologies and industry trends
7. 24X7 support standby required in this role
