Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated System Analyst to join our client UOB on a 3-month contract. The selected candidate will support digital banking system initiatives by analysing business and technical requirements, translating them into detailed system documentation, and driving successful delivery of system enhancements and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, document, and translate high-level business requirements into detailed system specifications and design documents.
- Evaluate existing system interactions and identify gaps or opportunities for enhancement.
- Design and envision end-to-end system solutions, considering both functional and technical dependencies.
- Gather technical information from stakeholders and create clear, structured documentation.
- Communicate and clarify system requirements with developers, testers, and stakeholders across business, operations, and technology.
- Identify and document system dependencies, ensuring completeness and traceability.
- Drive data, design, and solution discussions with vendors, IT teams, and user groups.
- Lead and manage technical teams (developers, analysts) to ensure timely, high-quality system delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery within agreed scope.
- Support testing strategy and oversee testing cycles to ensure all critical issues are resolved.
- Conduct risk identification and issue management, escalating where necessary.
- Organise and chair governance meetings, preparing materials, action items, and minutes.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with UOB’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work within Agile and hybrid delivery models, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year of experience driving system or technical requirement lifecycles from concept to delivery.
- Strong understanding of digital banking products and systems, including Retail/Consumer Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, ATM, Payment Systems, Internet, and Mobile Banking.
- Proven ability to evaluate and analyse system interactions and dependencies.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience leading technical delivery teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with attention to detail.
- Able to support UAT and post-implementation phases effectively.
- Good understanding of technology stacks and architecture layers.
