Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

• Conduct in-depth analysis of retail banking systems and processes.
• Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD) aligned with business objectives.
• Perform Gap Analysis to identify discrepancies between current and target states and recommend improvements.

Data Mapping, Modeling & Profiling

• Design data selection rules and map current state data for downstream processing.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure accurate data mapping and enhance usability for end-users.
• Apply data modeling techniques to define logical and physical data structures that support scalable and efficient data solutions.

Data Warehouse & Data Mart Implementation

• Proven track record in implementing data warehouse and data mart solutions to support enterprise data analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models, ETL rules, and integration strategies.

Data Mart-Centric Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of data mart solutions, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-implementation support.
• Drive roadmap planning and backlog grooming for data mart enhancements and new builds.
• Translate business needs into detailed Functional specifications.
• Ensure seamless integration of data marts with upstream and downstream systems to support business intelligence and analytics.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Technical Skills

• Experience in Hadoop Technologies
• Databases: Hive, SQL, Oracle, DB2
• Languages: JavaScript, Python
• Web Technologies: REST APIs, JSON, XML
• Data Analysis: Data Mapping, Modeling, Profiling (SQL-based), Rule Definitions
• Data Warehousing: Strong experience in data warehouse and data mart design and implementation

Methodologies & Tools

• Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence
• SDM 5 Methodologies – Familiarity with the Software Delivery Methodology (SDM 5) framework for structured project execution and governance.
