Job summary

A leading swim instruction company in Singapore is seeking a passionate Learn to Swim Coach to educate children aged 3 and above. The role involves coaching swimming classes, attending training programs, providing feedback to parents, and continuously improving coaching skills. Ideal candidates should have a passion for sports and teaching. This is a part-time, contract position for 12 months, requiring in-person work.

Qualifications

  • Passion for teaching young children with the ability to take care of them.
  • Swim experience preferred but not required as all training will be provided.
  • Demonstrated team player with an open mindset to learning and improving.

Responsibilities

  • Coach Learn to Swim students according to our Epic Swim curriculum.
  • Provide timely feedback to parents on the progress of their child.
  • Attend regular workshops and courses to continuously improve coaching skills.
  • Fulfil administrative tasks related to the program.

This is done through intense focus on curriculum, appropriate technology to complement learning and achieving, and training of professionals to guide learners and athletes.

Summary of position

We are looking for someone who is passionate about educating children through sports.

As a Learn to Swim Coach you will be required to coach Swim PE classes and Learn to Swim classes to children age 3 and above. You will report to the General Manager and be part of our passionate team and community of coaches.
Responsibilities
  • Coach Learn to Swim students according our Epic Swim curriculum
  • Coach Swim Physical Education students according our Epic Swim curriculum
  • Attend Epic Swim's in-house training program and attach to senior coaches prior to coaching independently
  • Provide timely feedback to parents on the progress of their child, and record student log
  • Attend regular workshops and courses, and use the learnings to continuously improve coaching skills
  • Fulfil administrative tasks related to the program; e.g. meet entries, attendance report, student performance tracking, and minutes of attended workshops
  • Maintain a professional image as an ambassador of the Epic Swim brand
  • Participate actively in our coaches community
Requirements
  • Passion for sports. Swim experience preferred but not required as all training will be provided
  • Passion for teaching young children with the ability to take care of them.
  • Demonstrated team player with an open mindset to learning and improving
  • Fluent in English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Required to attend Epic Swim's in-house training program and fulfill 60 hours of coaching practical attachment. Attachment hours will be paid.
