Purpose and Scope

This role resides in the Group Sustainability division. You will be involved in several workstreams, but the main role is to support environmental and social risk assessments for projects and sustainable finance work stream. This role will require you to work in close partnership with several internal teams concurrently.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Environmental and social risk management (primary workstream):
    • Conduct environmental and social risk assessment for projects
    • Review ESIA / ESDDs and ESMPs and advice project teams on follow-up mitigation actions to manage environmental and social risks
  • Sustainability Reporting
    • Support the preparation of internal presentation material in relation to sustainability reporting, as well as the annual Sustainability Report and other climate-related disclosures.
Qualification & Experience
  • University Degree, preferably with areas related to sustainability such as Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering. Accountancy and Finance background will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ of experience in the sustainability field in particular, experience in i) environmental and social risk management and / or project development experience of infrastructure projects ii) sustainable finance
  • Environmental and social risk management: IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles
  • Sustainable finance: Green Bond / Loan Principles, Sustainability-linked Bond / Loan Principles, Climate Bond Initiative Standards and taxonomy
  • Reporting standards: GRI, ISSB Standards and TCFD
  • Sustainability audit procedures
  • Other general requirements: strong project management and stakeholder management skills, strong analytical skills, good writing and presentation skills
  • Management skills: Highly organised multi-tasker, good project and time management skills and able to operate in an environment of high ambiguity
  • Communication skills: An excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and manage different teams to drive effective outcomes
  • Problem solving skills: Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Attentive to detail, highly meticulous and accurate
  • Teamwork: An independent team player who is able to work closely with various departments and stakeholders to drive outcomes that is beneficial to the company.
