Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is hiring for a theatre nurse/OR assistant in Singapore. You will assist surgeons during minor day-surgery procedures, prepare the OT, instruments, and consumables, and perform scrub and circulating nurse duties.

You will help with patient positioning and transfer, maintain aseptic technique, assist with equipment checks, and support post-operative recovery. Training is provided; SNB is required.

Qualifications

• Min NITEC in nursing.
• Valid SNB.
• No experience needed, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plastic surgeon during minor and day-surgery procedures in the operating theatre.
• Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, equipment and consumables before procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating nurse duties as required.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning and transfer before and after surgery.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection-control standards throughout procedures.
• Check and prepare surgical instruments, medications and equipment.
• Assist with counting of instruments, sharps and consumables before and after procedures.
• Monitor patients' condition during procedures and assist with post-operative recovery and monitoring.
• Ensure surgical documentation, procedure records and inventory are properly maintained.
• Clean, disinfect and ensure proper sterilisation/turnover of instruments and OT equipment.
• Liaise with surgeons, anaesthetic team and clinic staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide basic post-operative instructions and wound-care support to patients where required.
