Job description

Position: Assistant Electrical Engineer (ES)

• Salary: $2,800 to $3,000 + AWS + VB
• Working Days: 5 days 8:15am - 5:30pm
• Working Location: Joo Koon (Transport is provided from 6 MRT pickup points e.g.: Paya Lebar, Serangoon NEX, Bishan, Jurong East, Joon Koon, Woodlands)

Requirements

• At least Diploma Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum one (1) year’s experience in electrical engineering environment
• Training Provided for Entry Level

Roles Responsibilities

• To attend site surveys/meetings/discussions with client/contractors/sub‑contractors together with the LEW (when required). Provide feasible solutions, coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure objectives are achieved.
• Prepare reports and method statements whenever necessary. Perform all electrical works in adherence to EMA regulations and guidelines with LEW supervision.
• Assist the PE/LEW in carrying out regular site inspections on LT and HT installations to ensure maintenance programmes are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
• Stand by and partner with LEW in attending emergency call‑up services at customer installations. Investigate and determine the root cause of faults and report (where applicable).
• Able to interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams. Required to take on a Specialist Equipment role; may receive specialised training and subsequently provide training to internal staff.
• Plan and execute corrective or preventive maintenance programmes. Participate in and support annual shutdown exercises as required. Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment and tools.
• Assist the LEW in testing and commissioning of electrical systems. Provide excellent service to meet client expectations. Ensure all works are carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth data analysis of testing data collected from the field and summarize findings.
• Work closely with the engineering team to understand the operation of various electrical equipment and systems.
• Willing to learn how to use various condition‑monitoring software, sensors, and testing instruments.
• Participate in in‑house training sessions or workshops to enhance data‑analysis skills.
• Collaborate with team members to share insights and knowledge.
• Able to understand high‑voltage electrical networks.
• Use Microsoft Office at an expert level to prepare test reports and presentation material.
• Complete tasks assigned by the team with minimum supervision.
• Perform other ad‑hoc works as required.
