Job summary

An international bunker trading firm in Singapore is looking for a Supply Trader to enhance their purchasing platform in Asia. The successful candidate will develop relationships with suppliers, engage in daily trading, and coordinate logistics. Candidates should have 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in bunker trading or shipping, along with strong English communication skills and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Salling Search is partnering with an international bunker trading firm to search for a Supply Trader to join their growing Asia team in Singapore.

Only candidates who have the below skills will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and strengthen the purchasing platform in Asia’s key bunker hubs.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with bunker suppliers.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support trading activities.
  • Engage in daily trading and collaboration with colleagues across international offices.
  • Coordinate between suppliers and customers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of bunkers.
Key Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, with a background in bunker trading and/or the shipping industry.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language are an advantage for liaising effectively with stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded with strong skills in relationship‑building, negotiation, and analysis.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
