Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop policies, SOPs, KPIs for planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory.

• Lead risk management addressing single-source dependencies and regulatory changes.

• Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations, SLAs, and performance.

Job Summary

Lead and execute end-to-end supply chain management for perishable, high-value produce across Singapore and international markets. Design supply chain strategy, build teams and processes, and ensure operational excellence in cold chain, demand forecasting, and supplier reliability.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Supply Chain Design

• Design and continuously enhance the end-to-end supply chain model for Singapore and export markets to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and KPIs for planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Build and develop the supply chain team to meet operational goals and standards.
• Lead risk management initiatives addressing single-source dependencies, cold-chain failures, seasonal demand fluctuations, and regulatory changes.

Demand & Supply Planning

• Own short- and mid-term demand forecasting for fresh produce to align supply with market needs.
• Translate demand forecasts into actionable production and procurement plans in coordination with farm operations and partner growers.
• Monitor sales performance, wastage, and stock aging; implement measures to minimize perishable inventory write-offs.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Source and manage suppliers for packaging, inputs, and third-party logistics services, leading contract negotiations and service-level agreements.
• Manage relationships with partner farms and external growers, ensuring quality, volume, and pricing compliance.
• Track supplier performance, resolve fulfillment issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Logistics & Cold Chain

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring cold-chain transport and warehousing maintain product quality.
• Coordinate export documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding for regional shipments.
• Ensure temperature integrity and quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain; lead investigations into any breaches.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records across internal and external storage facilities.
• Manage logistics, warehousing, and procurement budgets; identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Enforce stock rotation methods (FIFO/FEFO) and minimize inventory shrinkage.

Cross-Functional & Leadership

• Collaborate with sales teams on promotions, product launches, and seasonal demand peaks.
• Partner with farm operations on harvest scheduling and capacity planning.
• Provide regular supply chain performance reports to senior management and contribute to strategic planning.
• Mentor and develop supply chain staff to support functional growth.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Agriculture, or related field.
• 6-10 years of supply chain experience, including fresh produce, FMCG, food, or agri-business sectors.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end supply chains with perishable inventory and cold-chain logistics.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills with proficiency in ERP/inventory systems and budget management.
• Demonstrated capability to build processes and lead teams in dynamic environments.
• Effective communication skills for cross-cultural and multi-time zone collaboration.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience managing export/import operations in Singapore and the region.
• Familiarity with demand forecasting tools or ERP systems.
• Exposure to vertical farming, controlled-environment agriculture, or specialty food supply chains.
• Mandarin language skills to facilitate coordination with China-based teams and partners, supporting effective communication.
