Job description
The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a fast-growing tech start-up, and we are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their business. As the pioneer batch, the successful incumbent will oversee procurement, inventory, and end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a key role to ensure smooth material flow, optimized inventory, and efficient operations to support the company's ambitious growth plans.

The Job:
  • Set up and lead all procurement activities, from strategic sourcing and negotiation to vendor relationship management and performance oversight.
  • Optimize inventory management across multiple locations, balancing stock levels to meet demand while aggressively reducing holding costs.
  • Oversee and execute complex import/export operations, including all international freight forwarding and local transportation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all global trade compliance standards, accurately classifying goods (tariff codes), and managing necessary customs and trade documentation.
  • Develop and implement new supply chain strategies to drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels.
  • Act as the primary risk manager, proactively identifying potential supply chain disruptions (tariffs, sanctions, etc.) and building robust mitigation plans for continuity.
  • Collaborate across departments (Manufacturing, Operations, Warehouse) to seamlessly align material flow with production schedules.
  • Serve as the final point of escalation for all critical vendor and supply issues.
  • Maintain meticulous records to support accurate reporting, forecasting, and audits.
The Talent:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Logistics).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on experience covering procurement, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Deep knowledge of international logistics, including customs clearance, tariffs, and global trade compliance.
  • The capability to work autonomously, prioritize competing demands, and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth, start-up setting.
  • Proven ability to set up and implement procurement systems, establish streamlined processes, and drive operational excellence.
  • Act as the go-to expert for the business, proactively advising stakeholders across all departments on critical issues, risks, and best practices in supply chain, logistics, and procurement.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with native Chinese-speaking counterparts based in China and Taiwan.
