What you’ll do:
- Responsible for material planning, procurement, subcontracting, logistics, distribution, shipment and inventory control functions.
- Optimize supplies and subcontract services processes and rationalize the supply base to maximize pricing leverage, supply quality, subcontract service performance, materials flow and inventory / asset accountability.
- Forecast company procurement needs in coordination with production planning, utilizing the appropriate material requirements planning systems/programs and lean practices. Develop commodity strategies, conduct RFQs and evaluate supplier proposals.
- Partner with the other stakeholders to ensure material availability and order placement, logistics and transportation support to facilitate engine shipments.
- Oversea team's task on sub-contract assignments and ensure all requirements and certifications are properly documented and coordinating the sub-contract work with the appropriate functional areas.
- Ensure optimal inventory level through accurate forecasting and strategic planning, cycle count for inventory, storage and preservation of all inventories, especially those that are subjected to deterioration and with shelf life specification.
- Supervise the scrap review processes and ensure proper accounting of the inventories and traceability of materials.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and inventory agreements with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective action and cost‑reduction projects. Conductcontract reviews and negotiation with Vendors for vendor rebates.
- Monitor, measure, and address gaps with applicable parties to achieve Annual Operating Plan goals and on time delivery target.
- Maintain accurate purchase order data in ERP and support audit requirements.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
- 6+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience; aerospace MRO preferred.
- Good understanding of the relevant airworthiness and regulatory agencies requirements.
- Familiar with freight forwarding and shipping documentation and procedures.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Familiarity with cost‑breakdown analysis and should‑cost modeling.
- Proficiency in ERP purchasing modules and Microsoft Office.
