Job description

You have the opportunity to make a significant impact on logistics and transportation operations regionally. You will be at the heart of supply chain activities, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely product delivery, optimise transport planning, and provide actionable insights through data‑driven reporting.

What you'll do:

As a Supply Chain Analyst – Logistics and Transportation (1 Year Contract), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless end‑to‑end supply chain operations. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with planning teams to optimise container usage, reduce waiting times at factories, and coordinate timely product movements. You will leverage your analytical abilities to identify cost drivers within logistics operations, maintain transparent cost dashboards for management review, and become proficient in using advanced control tower systems. By consolidating key performance indicators from multiple clusters into insightful reports, you will help drive informed decision‑making while proactively monitoring trends for potential issues. Your involvement in project management will see you supporting strategic initiatives aimed at digitalising processes or improving operational efficiency. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement by reviewing existing workflows, updating documentation libraries, conducting root cause analyses for recurring challenges, and recommending actionable solutions that foster compliance and smooth onboarding experiences.

  • Monitor transportation planning by flagging and escalating deviations from contracted carrier shares or rates while assisting in reviewing carrier and shipping line performance to prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Support planning teams by aligning production requests with loading schedules to maximise container utilisation and minimise waiting times, ensuring efficient deployment of products.
  • Coordinate closely with factory transport teams to guarantee timely movement of goods and optimal use of transport capacity across all clusters.
  • Identify key drivers of logistics costs by analysing fluctuations such as low fill rates or emergency shipments, providing monthly variance analysis against budgeted figures.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date dashboards that clearly display transportation spend and cost KPIs, becoming the subject matter expert for control tower systems including TMS and visibility dashboards.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyse supply chain KPIs from various clusters to prepare detailed monthly dashboards that monitor trends and highlight anomalies for escalation.
  • Continuously improve reporting templates using automation tools like Power BI or Excel macros to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
  • Support project management activities by documenting progress according to standardised tools, following up on deadlines, risks, and contributing to problem‑solving efforts.
  • Assist in strategic initiatives such as IT transformation projects or process digitalisation by providing dedicated support for regional development managers.
  • Review assigned processes regularly to recommend improvements, maintain the process library, conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues, and contribute actively to continuous improvement actions.
What you bring:

To excel as a Supply Chain Analyst – Logistics and Transportation (1 Year Contract), your background should reflect robust technical expertise in handling large volumes of data using advanced Excel functions alongside familiarity with modern data visualisation platforms. Your previous roles may have involved supporting logistics operations where you developed an eye for detail in tracking key metrics such as container utilisation or freight costs. Experience working collaboratively within cross‑functional teams is essential as you will frequently interact with planning groups, factory transport coordinators, and regional project managers. A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies—especially those related to automation or dashboard creation—will set you apart. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities without compromising accuracy demonstrates your organisational strengths while your commitment to continuous improvement ensures that you are always seeking ways to enhance efficiency. Soft skills such as empathy when working across departments combined with strong communication abilities are vital for building trust‑based relationships throughout the organisation.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, and chart creation as well as strong presentation skills using PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau enabling clear communication of complex information through automated dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations with particular emphasis on logistics processes including transportation planning and freight cost analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment that requires adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies along with hands‑on experience supporting project documentation, tracking milestones, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills allowing you to spot inefficiencies within large datasets and propose practical improvements for cost savings or process optimisation.
  • Strong organisational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail ensuring accurate reporting of KPIs across different business units or clusters.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively across departments while building positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach towards learning new systems or tools coupled with an interest in identifying process bottlenecks for continuous improvement initiatives.
