A global technology company is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineering Assistant based in Kallang, Singapore. This role involves supporting engineering tests, assisting in audits, and interfacing with suppliers on quality issues. Candidates should have a diploma in Mechanical or related engineering and 2 years of relevant experience. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining quality standards and improving workplace safety.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in dealing with suppliers on non-conformances and investigation.
  • Experience with quality-related issues and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering tests and technical functions related to Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Support Product Engineering and Quality Engineers/Managers on quality-related issues.
  • Assist in Supplier Quality Audits.
  • Interface with suppliers on technical/quality issues.
  • Provide factory support to resolve issues related to purchased parts and manufacturing.
  • Participate in safety and environmental improvement programs.

Skills

Job Description:

  • Responsible for engineering tests and technical functions related to the support of Supplier Quality Engineering
  • Supports Product Engineering, Production and Quality Engineers/Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues
  • Assists in Supplier Quality Audits
  • Interfaces with suppliers on technical/quality issues, RMA, corrective and preventive actions
  • Provides factory support to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing
  • Contributes to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.
  • Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Manufacturing Process Technology
  • Ability to interpret within established procedures and practices
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment, statistical tools, Geometric Dimension and Tolerance knowledge will be an advantage
  • 2 years experiences in dealing with suppliers on non-conformances and investigation
