A leading pet products retailer in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual to oversee brand sales KPI and manage relationships with overseas suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in business and at least 2 years of FMCG experience, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include supplier training sessions, pricing checks, and product management, ensuring the retailer remains competitive in the market.
This role entails the oversight of brand sales KPI and category management within Singapore. It involves managing relationships with suppliers located overseas, specifically in China, Europe, and the USA. There will be regular meetings, both online and face-to-face. This includes facilitating training sessions, coordinating meetings, and hosting lunches for visiting suppliers in Singapore.
Primary responsibility is to manage supplier brands originating from China, Europe, and the USA, overseeing their sales and product categories including dry food, wet food, treats, toys and accessories. Have continual collaboration with suppliers on new product introductions and product discontinuations to accommodate new products.
Competitive price checks are essential to ensure our pricing remains competitive in the market.
Regular meetings online and offline to update suppliers on sales performance, fostering strong relationships.
Organize training sessions and meetings, as well as hosting supplier lunches when they are in Singapore.
Gather marketing assets from suppliers for website uploads.
Planning promotions to clear existing inventory.
Coordinating with Marketing for digital product launches.
Monitoring franchise costs in Singapore to adhere to predefined percentages, and sharing new products with Malaysia corporate stores and overseas franchise teams.
Collate orders from these regions and liaise with planners accordingly.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Min. Diploma in Business Management / Administration, Commerce or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in procurement of buying activities within the FMCG.
Must demonstrate the capability to conduct meetings with suppliers independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly customer-oriented, motivated and results oriented.
Resourceful and problem solver, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Team player and ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
