Purpose: lead in qualifying potential suppliers, working with the Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) & Commodity Business Team (CBT) to develop suppliers to meet company needs and industry requirements as part of the overall supplier development program.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
- Conduct Supply Chain Risk Assessment (SCRA) Audit to qualify new suppliers.
- Review filled checklist with associated objective evidence in view to see suitability for our use.
- Audit results consolidation - communicate to the internal team (Commodity Business Team (CBT/ Materials Management Team (MMT)).
- Conduct periodic Supply Chain Risk Assessment (SCRA) audits of existing suppliers.
- Develop suppliers' knowledge and understanding through training (New Supplier Development, CE, IP, Sustainability, 8D/CAPA, eTPD, PQP, FAIR).
- Evaluate supplier's performance in order to maintain a constructive supplier's database that aim to achieve business goals & needs.
- Review & Approve Supplier Change Request (SCR) for new suppliers.
- Manage and maintain supplier-focused activity
Qualification & Experiences:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in supplier quality or development in manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience conducting supplier audits (QMS, process, and technical).
- Proficient in quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping
- Experience in supplier development and capability building.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant regulatory standards
- Exposure to sustainability and ESG compliance in the supply chain
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing suppliers
- Skilled in using data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) for performance tracking
