Job summary

REAL SS CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled tiler/renovation worker to install and finish tiles in residential and commercial spaces.

You will cut tiles, form beds, align patterns, and install granite/marble surfaces, following blueprints and ensuring precise fits in tight spaces. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a secondary school diploma or equivalent, and be willing to work outdoors in non-climate-controlled conditions, overtime, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
• Secondary school or diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work outdoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime and night shifts.
• Carpentry and renovation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut tiles and shape them properly to fit around obstacles and in tight corners using power and hand tools.
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement glue or mortar with screeds, brushes and trowels.
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares for even patterns.
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble with accuracy during installation.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and clean surfaces.
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms.
• Tap tiles into place carefully to properly adhere tiles to the base without breaking them.
• Follow blueprints precisely and measure surfaces to determine tiling approach.

Job Responsibilities:

• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
• Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
