Overview
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading a team of operators/technicians, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong operational background and excellent people management skills.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management: Directly supervise, motivate, and guide a team of frontline employees. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets, service levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all output and services adhere to established quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Workplace Safety: Champion a culture of safety. Enforce strict compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety briefings and risk assessments.
- Performance Management: Monitor team and individual performance. Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and identify training and development needs.
- Resource Planning: Efficiently allocate manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve operational issues, customer complaints, and personnel matters promptly and effectively.
- Administration & Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate daily reports on production, attendance, incidents, and other key metrics to the Management team.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably within the [e.g., manufacturing, warehouse, facility management] sector.
- Proven experience in leading and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act. Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Safety Orientation Course) will be an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP or Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) is a strong advantage.
- Able to work shifts/weekends if required by the role.
