Job summary

A leading educational support service in Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role involves managing challenging behaviors, implementing support plans, and collaborating with academic teams to create a supportive environment. Candidates should have a relevant qualification, at least 3 years of experience, and strong interpersonal communication skills. A competitive salary of S$3,900 to $4,500 per month is offered.

Working Hours

5 Days (Mon to Thur: 8.30am to 6.00pm; Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm)

Lunch: 1 hour

Offered Salary
  • S$3,900 to $4,500 per month
Requirements
  • Passion and disposition to care for and work with students with SEN
  • Relevant qualification in Inclusive and Special Education, Education, Psychology, Applied or Educational Psychology, Counselling and/or relevant areas
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting students with SEN, preferably in an educational or social service sector setting
  • Resourceful and good problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse background, and collaboratively with different stakeholders in student support
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and administrative skills
  • IT proficiency in data management, with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and events management would be an advantage
Job Description
  • Provide individualised support to students in managing challenging behaviours in school, including support management for meltdowns
  • Support the SEN team to implement behaviour intervention and learning support plans for students with SEN in collaboration with academic team and other stakeholders
  • Maintain records of students progress and interventions implemented
  • Assist with organising and implementing programmes for students with SEN
  • Partner with SEN team, academic team and other stakeholders to create a supportive environment conducive to the success of students with SEN
  • Help in managing the SEN consultation office
